Bettye Arre: I love obscure drinks from different places, and have experimented experimented with many. The ones I've listed below are some obscure favorites. I have included links to recipes provided on! the internet by others. At the bottom I included a separate link to a website I found while answering you question. There may also be a few new things for me to try! enjoy :)Trevor CarsonWattlecino - this is an australian drink made from the seed of the acacia that tastes like a mix of hot chocolate and coffee. In addition it is caffeine free.http://www.lifestylefood.com.au/recipes/2013/wattl...Sahlab -a creamy, hot drink from the middle east made from dairy and orchid root powder; topped with cinnamonhttp://www.greenprophet.com/2010/12/recipe-sahlab-...Anijsmelk - This classic dutch drink is anise mixed with hot milk. The anise isn’t overbearing, it adds a fragrant and light touch of spice, but it’s still a love it or hate it type of drink. Believed to relax the body.http://recipes.wikia.com/wiki/AnijsmelkKúmenkaffi -Icelandic coffee served after a meal and ideally with a splash of brennivín, a caraway flavored schnapps that is another Icelandic tradition, kúmenka! ffi smells spicy, tastes tart and has plenty of caffeine.http:! //scandinavianfood.about.com/od/beverages/r/C...Bicerìn - Italy is known for its coffees and cappuccinos. But go beyond those with bicerìn. It is a deliciously thick and sensuous traditional drink in Piedmont, Italy. Espresso is topped with hot chocolate and then there is a layer of heavy whipped cream.http://www.davidlebovitz.com/2006/02/il-bicerin-1/Atole - Chocolate atole is called champurrado. It’s masa, or corn flour, cooked and blended with sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Definitely a comfort food, it will wake you up and get you going in the morning, or give you a warm drink to sip while curled up on a couch.http://www.muybuenocookbook.com/2010/12/champurrad...separate site:http://www.thekitchn.com/hot-drink-roundup-101675...Show more
